Author Topic: Official Lego Builds  (Read 3089 times)

I realized when I was reminiscing about legos the other day that I was not a very creative person. Every time I try to create something in blockland, it turns out it was actually already a thing I made as a dumb kid and didn't realize it until I was done with it.

Then, I decided that I wanted to remake old castle sets with real legos, but I couldn't find all the pieces. So here we are: approximates of lego builds as closely as I could make them using Blockland. Brick per brick as in the instructions.

Some problems I had were with recreating the pre-fab pieces. Rock walls, staircases, battlements, etc. I tried my best but that is really I feel where I could improve. Also, obviously no rotating pieces.

It's not easy to remake it, so it's pretty good (for a remake).
But why did you used old lego products?

Because new Sets use SO many random unique pieces. That's why. Old legos are the only good ones.

I agree, but some of the newer pieces are still pretty awesome.

2nd one no dragon >:(

someone should make a dragon vehicle, and a triceratops while they're at it.

Edit: there also are no halberds or dragon chariots

I tried to make the dragon, but it is very hard to make it with such big pieces. The dragon in the set in the real world is make of like 2 pre-fab pieces. If I were to try to make the dragon, it would have to be my own interpretation of the dragon at a much larger scale than is in the drawing. I might start a dragon build, but that didn't seem to fit with the theme I was going for.

I had those. Good stuff.

That one takes me back :)

On the last pic you used ramps instead of a plate that is about 45%.
Said we can't build plate's with 45% :(

"Sadly, we can't build with plates that are made of 9/20ths of a Brick."
45%? You mean 45 Degrees?

Anyways, I remade one of the new ones lately, I'll post it here when I get the chance... Lego Firehouse thing.

1st pic: Ill buy that wizard off you for 20 bucks.

I actually have several of those wizards in a box in a box in my parents' house.

And a teaser for my next one, since this first part took so friggin long.

It was so hard getting that baseplate 1 for 1 exactly right. The later lego builds I think will all be hard like that.
