Wallflips are completely different. I can nail a back flip and back handspring (Among other things), which should help a lot, but whatever I try I simply cannot get the push off of the wall.I went to the gym once and tried doing them on one of those soft diagonal wall mat things, every time my foot hits the wall I simply flip without pushing, and end up being so close to the wall that the back of my head hits it.
I usually use skateboard shoes when I go running, my favorite brand is Osiris.
