Buffer Overun trouble

I don't know if i'm the only person who gets this thats why im asking but when i launch a map in BL it just comes up with a window that says Buffer Overun and then if i click a key it shuts down the game

I could really use some help

I have this when I start a dedicated. Pisses me off.

I found that for me it is simply a glitch with either having too many add-ons or a specific bad add-on.
You will ususally get this message after you start a server than exit the server without quitting BL.  In which case it quits BL and you have to restart.  If your situation is different, explain.

I found the fireworks launcher to cause this, and the military jeeps screws up events and mesasges.  Also Nixills Scaled Spawns ruin any team spawns.

With Mine BL starts fine but as soon as i go to launch a map it says BUFFER OVERUN and then i click any key and it shuts down the program

mine is if i start a server, remember i needed to change something that cant be changed in the server, exit the server, then change whatever it was, then rejoin
so, i can prevent that by joining some random server for a couple of seconds

You have some broken Add-On with an error in the code. Disable everything except default Add-Ons and try again.

Disabling Lances Flash Grenade and Smoke Grenade fixed my Buffer Overrun trouble.

Check the bottom of your console log for something like this:

Code: [Select]

Executing add-ons/XXXXXXXX/-----.cs.
add-ons/XXXXXXXX/-----.cs Line: --- - Syntax error.

The dashes denote irrelevant stuff. Look at what takes the place of the X's. That will give you a clue as to what is breaking it.
