You need to jailbreak your iPod. But since we both have 2g's, there's no jailbreak yet (they are working on one). That's an old screenshot from my iPod Touch first generation before it died due to water damage. Oddly, the screenshot was taken the day it died.

First generation has a slower processor, but in my opinion looks more classic because it looks less like an iPhone. Can be jailbroken.

Second generation has an arm11 processor which is much faster than even the iPhone 3G, has volume controls and a built in speaker and has a curved back. Can't be jailbroken yet.

Eh, if yours is still in good condition you could sell it, people will want it because they're overly desperate for the jailbreak, then buy the 2g with the money you get.

My old one was the same way. My 2g somehow got a mysterious small scratch on the front of it, which made me angry :(

Obviously you don't know that 1g and 2g means "First generation" and "Second generation"
