Author Topic: Need help in how to use some of the add-ons  (Read 609 times)

OK, lets face it, it has been more than a year since I played this game, and the info for how to use the add-ons I enjoy is no longer present, only the files themselves are there to download now (I went to the RTB site thing).

SO can somebody here tell me how to use the following add-ons when I'm in the game:

Scale Spawns
JVS Doors (I remember this having some sort of GUI, but I can't remember how you access it. It let you save doors and stuff)
Item Key
Auto Jet
Tool Wand

The rest of the cool add-ons I still remember how to use luckily. But these few I don't remember and forget how to access them in-game.

Add-ons I want but can't seem to find:

JVS-Portals

Brick Selector (selected all the bricks at once that are connected and let you copy and paste them).

If there's any other recommended add-ons (please no suggesting vehicles or anything is not helpful in building).

The controls for the auto jet and Tool wand are bindable to any key you want just set the up in controls.  The JVS doors are treated as bricks in their own special tab (JVS) so there isn't a GUI for them anymore.

JVS-Portals no longer exist an alternative you might want to try is the event PlayersetTransform

The brick selector/duplicator I think your talking about is right here

I can't really help you with the other stuff because I've never used them, hope this helps some.

You might also want to try out the Fill Can

OK, thanks for the help. I got the add-ons you linked. Also, I already have fill can (It's one of the cool ones that I remember how to use).

NiXiLL's Scale Spawns are placed like you would place normal Spawn Bricks in a minigame. If a player spawns on those, they will appear at the designated scale. Scaled vehicle spawns can be wrenched like normal Vehicle Spawn bricks, and create smaller vehicles.

JVS Doors are now used through the Event system. If you wrench a Door brick and look at its Events, you can edit how it functions. They save properly with the bricks now, if Save Wrench Events is enabled.

The Key item adds several events to check trust or admin-level when you hit a brick. These trigger the onKeySuccess/Failure events. They Key itself does no damage or function.

Auto Jet must be keybinded in Options to function. When activated, you will automatically jet and hover at a specific level.

I don't personally use the "Tool Wand" so I'm not sure how it works. Sorry.

i can't figure it out either, there's no guide or explination of how

Alright, thanks. That clears a lot of confusion up. I think I'm just going to get rid of tool wand, it seems pointless (even though I don't know how to use it).

I really like the event system. It really seems like I could actually do fun stuff again, which was to be honest, one of the reasons I left for a year (My main thing is making challenges, and without unique things, they just aren't fun to me). But now it looks like I could keep myself entertained enough to be able to make a good challenge with hard to solve puzzles using the event system.

One other thing: I want to know where I get the one that lets you shoot a brick, then it deletes the brick, which then makes you able to make floating bricks as a result which save and everything.

I think that's Fooly's multi tool however you might just want to set the rendering and collision to false and you can achieve the same effect without deleting the bricks.

Just turn rendering off in the wrench menu

Yeah, Multitool was it. I liked it because you can shoot blocks way high up instead of having to try to fly to them and hit with the wrench.
