Author Topic: Group File/Folder Sharing program?  (Read 1341 times)

I need a sharing type program for my projects to make it easier for other people in my team to gain access to my game files as well as there's, it needs to auto update/change what ever changes I make to my own files/folder on my computer. I'm not really interested in using something like hamachi, I need something more server based so I can gain access to other peoples files while they're off-line. I have my own website/hosting so if there are any website based one please link me.

Dropbox = Win.

Use MSN messenger/Windows Live messenger, they have a share file program thing.

I'm pretty sure that the other person has to be online, plus I have to manually update it every time D: But if the other person doesn't have to be on then this is at least a start.

Maybe Mediafire does something like that, but I'm not entirely positive.

If you use the old windows live, sharing folders is the way to go.  It automatically syncs, and the files are saved to your hard drive, so you can access them anytime.

If you use the new messenger, you can use windows live sync.  You need to have the same login details at all the computers,  but it isn't linked to messenger.  So you can make a hotmail account, share the username and password with your buddies, and you're good to go.

I'm thinking dropbox. All I rember is the name but a year or two ago a freind got me to set one up for sharing 3DS max plugins. You may need a invite but I don't really know and if I ever rember my pass word I'd give you all of the invites I have.

Maybe a shared folder, connected via lan, via hamachi?

No clue if that would work.

Trying it now and it seems pretty much what I need, Epic thanks :D I'll still take any more suggestions if people have any.

Dropbox is epic. It's how my friend and I share our fap collection.

It's really good and fast, you just start it up and it will update any new files.

Yeah I've noticed :D

Yep, it's very good :D.

My friend used it to deliver me a message when I wasn't on xfire :D.
