Scout just has crappy weapons.
The scattergun sucks farther than 2 feet away, the pistol is weak but is actually accurate, and the bat is melee.

Ever been double teamed by 2 scouts? It is terrible, one batting you and the other scattergunning you, you die pretty quickly... Heavies should be able to take them, unless they are ambushed by some scouts

I think it is next weekend (they like to have a free weekend with every class update) seeing as they said two small updates would come out this week and that as soon as those were released the scout update would be good to go.

@ people saying the scout is weak: I know a few supper good scout users and I have seen them single hadidly take down heavy medic combos just through pure speed (standing on heads, jumping into corners to reload, taking every health pack, etc.). In fact I saw one take down a sentry by strafeing around it with the bat and jumping to the other side so it could never point at them).

@ mile stone braging: I have had them all for a long time. I got the game a week after the pyro update but during the pyro free weekend I got all but one of his mile stones (I never used an acheivment server either). A week after I got the game I had all the mile stones. I think it took me two or so weeks to get all the heavy but he is my secong least played class (9.5 hours).

Bullstuff scouts can take down sentries. It takes about half a second for a sentry to chop a scout in half. You have to have reaction of a fighter pilot and the nimbleness of a gymnast and the ability to slow down time like Neo to destroy a sentry. It can't be done.
