Port Forwarding for Vista.

Ok, so, I tried everything the port forwarding instructions told me to, and when i put in the user and pass, it said it was wrong. Does this have to do with vista? Please help! I give

the password is based on your moden/router
if you use a Westell versalink like i do the pass and user name are both admin
the most ocmmon one is user: admin   pass: password

My router is NetGear. i tried the username (admin) and password (password) but it still didnt work.

lucky i have to do it on mac....
but on the bright side my friend (Cheesewii) fowarded my ports for me ;D
now i just have to get my static Ip address manually.
