I can't sign onto Hotmail D:

I also can't sign into Bungie.net since it uses Hotmail

I put in my email, and my password exactly as i have it, and it says the Email is invalid, so i change up the password in as much ways as possible that could fix it, nothing worked, i can start up Windows Live just fine, but if i were to log out then try to sign back in, it probably wouldn't let me, i tried signing up with a new email to check the availability of my email, and it said it was unavailable, so if it's in use, but i can't sign into it... That makes no sense! This happened about a day or two ago when i cleared my cookies, i could sign into other places, but not Hotmail, i looked at my saved passwords and login names in the Options, but Hotmail's login name was blank, but the password was alright, i wanted to check my mail, then change my password again, and that's when i figured out this had happened, also, i can sign in just fine on Internet Explore, but not Firefox

Hmmmm. That is an interesting problem. Might have to do a straight up reinstall of Firefox to fix it. At first it sounded like a fake site used to get your password, but since you can get through on IE, that isn't the case. Backup your links, uninstall and reboot your pc. Then redownload a fresh firefox.exe and install. See if that helps any.

zonealarm and a few other apps and personal firewalls have been known to block cookies. check all your protective app's settings to.
they might have not been enabled when you had first saved passwords, so you wouldn't have noticed till now of course you clear them.

and they are now blocking new login cookies, even if you dont try to save passwords, a restricted cookie is still needed to be made at any login any time.

i would also check to see if any new cookies or old cache ones are corrupt.

file>exit for a proper quit

start>run enter "%APPDATA%" and run it
then dig into \Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\SOMETHING.default\

delte "cookies.sqlite"
and any other "cookies.sqlite-journal" stuff there might be

restart firefox

Oh great, i was playing Skate 2, and then my laptop shut off for energy saver mode, thus having my internet go off until i turned the laptop back on, and once my internet went off, Windows Live signed out and now i can't sign back in cause of this problem!

I hope it works on the Vista PC, if that's the case, then i can't talk to mah fwiends on the laptop until this problem gets fixed D:

I'm able to use Windows Live and sign into Hotmail on the Vista PC, but not the laptop, can it be a virus or something? :o

Sounds like it might be or something in the key-reg might have been corrupted. If you're able to log into your laptop, you may want to try a system restore to a previous saved point. It won't delete anything you download, but I think you might want to backup all links used on the PC if you're worried over them. Never hurts to keep an extra copy anyways.

If you can't manage to log in, might have to reformat the whole thing. Guaranteed it will remove any problem you had with the thing...along with everything else, sadly :(

I can not believe this! IT WAS MY PASSWORD! I somehow kept typing it wrong, luckily i had that reset password option, so now i've reset my password to something more memorable :D
