my problem is (and yes, i did follow the so-called cure) that all non-HL2 source games crash with the error that says im out of OS pooled paged memory
and before you tell me, i did the ren>regedit thing to 1800000 and it didnt work

they were both problems related to the source engine

You said in your post that all non-Source games crash, and from Kunit's post you can tell he has problems with Source games.

Try diconnecting from the internet and running steam in offline mode and play a source game.

also, what i meant, was that i can only run the source games HL2, HL2ep1, HL2ep2, and HL2: lost coast

Just tried, Not any diffrence. I actually think that it might be my processor, I have bought all new parts except the processor pretty much.
