Author Topic: Windows 7 gets odd latency on Bedroom/Kitchen  (Read 1646 times)

I just upgraded my Gateway M675PRR Laptop to Windows 7, and now I have a bit of an odd latency problem. Whenever I go outside on the map Bedroom/Kitchen and look at the house, I seem to get a very odd lag issue. The FPS drops down quite a bit, and whenever I move the mouse around, it seemed delayed. All my actions are really delayed and whatnot. I've been using this laptop to play Blockland for a while now, and it has never had a problem on Windows XP. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe you should submit this to microsoft as a bug in windows 7.

Will do, but do you have any clue at all of what could be causing it?

Microsoft's campaign to destroy openGL support so that everyone will have to switch to directX and thus be dependent on Microsoft operating systems.  No I am not joking, this is happening.

What the forget is Microsoft thinking...?
They want to destroy OpenGL support because they want games to rely on DirectX, which Linux/Mac OS can't run?
This is how they plan on getting more customers? That's sad.

Whatever, if Microsoft doesn't fix it, I'll just downgrade to Windows Vista.

Sadly Vista has issues as well. If you have certain versions of video cards, there is not, and probably will never be good support for OpenGL in Vista. In order for me to get this game to even run, I have to turn off all of Vista's Display effects (making it look like Windows 95). I had no issues with XP, but the sad thing is I can't go back to XP in my situation.

So, you will probably have to downgrade all the way to XP if you want this game to run at it's best.

dont get vista
microsoft is about to drop itcasue they hate it like half of america does

in this case, you turn to mac.

Nah, I'm turning over to Linux if anything.
Mac is the lowest priority to me.

Yeah. PCs are not to blame, just Windows.

I'm hopping on Vista soon, since XP is being dropped from support soon.

Probably in 2-4 years Vista support will be dropped too.
I still can't believe Microsoft would force the market to go DirectX.
