Just because they possibly figured out a theory for it doesn't mean HIV is now solved. It'll take years for it to go through drug trials and all that stuff.

With such wide-spread and large amount of suffering HIV has been causing, this research into a possible cure is bound to receive a lot of priority and funding, but yeah it could still take a few years.

And there is still the factors of that it does not effect everyone and could be too dangerous.

Also that's a pretty damn cool approach to getting rid of it. Usually viruses like this are treated with chemical doses, just the right kind that forgets only them up and not us with it. Never thought mutating them would be an option.

Yeah this is huge. It would be a great achievement for humanity as a whole if they could get this to work and not forget up anywhere in the "greed" department along the way
