I vote pirates since they include vikings anyways.
I agree, NAY! I STRONGLY AGREE!!! RRGGGHHHH

It's been well known in historical documents that even traditional caribbean pirates stayed away from Vikings...especially those known as Berserkers. Vikings win by default.

I think you don't quite understand the linear flow of time.

nor does he know the linear flow of location.

Carribean Pirates never came into contact with the Norse Vikings, since you know, they were in Norway and neighboring areas.

By the time pirates were in the Caribbean, Scandinavia had some Kingdoms and there were no more Vikings.

that too.

Christianity was what broke up the clan bonds between the Vikings.

Also poor prospective areas like Greenland and New Foundland kinda made it not worth it in the long run (no food = no people). So they settled down wherever they were and set up shop.

Beat this:
Pirates are still around today!
Ninjas would be if there were a use for them. They became obsolete and eventually disappeared entirely. The only "ninja" today are the masters of ninjutsu of whom there are few.

Because of the reputation.

They wern't solely Scandinavian. And I'm sure not all of them up and said "oh shoot, we got a kingdom, let's quit and go to unproductive farming." As I said, there were records of contact and it usually ended in the people giving a wide berth to Vikings simply due to reputation even if it was a couple of small time groups here and there.

they're both similar in many ways, so why choose? aren't Vikings like land pirates?

Well they are pretty much the same thing, rape, pillage, s'all good

"It's all."

Not "s'all".

The legacy was left behing, but they no longer went onto the sea in their longboats or organized massed raids.

Pirates in the Caribbean would be 1600s-1840s.

Pirates make their own tasks, and have lasted a long time doing so, ninjas depend on other stuff.
I'm gonna double post now, my PSP can't multi-quote.
