If you look at the sun he drew just right, it looks like it is shrinking due to the other colors around it being very close to it's color.
Good attempt, but I would rather see more variety in colors. Perhaps not have everything try to tone to the sunset, but instead have it only in areas where it would realistically show colors shifted towards red/orange.
