Author Topic: LEGO made in denmark.  (Read 1619 times)

Many don't know that LEGO was really made in denmark long ago, they were made in wood. Lots of I've met didn't really know that, this could be also why there's a LEGO park in Billund (town in denmark)

My grandpa once got offered to make these wooden legos, he declined to make them with the lego creators. If he didn't decline, I could be rich, and properly giving out free BL_IDs. (lolwut at last part)

LEGO = Leg god = Play good

Whoa never knew this, thanks

LEGO = Leg god = Play good

The company name LEGO was created by Ole Kirk Christiansen from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well".

YARR, LEG GOD!

I was reading about this a long time ago...

lol, play well bricks.

that's a handicapped name

Bisjac knows best!! **Crazy salesman smile**

You could amputate your own leg and put gods leg there instead.

On-topic: Yeah, I knew about this, but that's because my German grandparents told me when I was little. They also got me a lot of LEGO, including sets from family in Europe.
