My parents are getting a divorce.
I'm too depressed to say anything.

use Zyrtec, it should get better :cookieMonster:

My parents got divorced when I wasn't even 4 years old yet.

That narrows it down.  Three years?

I don't know,

I guess so.

You have to realise that they will be much happier apart from eachother, and by extension you'll be happier too in the long run without all the arguments and fighting. I expect the first few weeks will be a little weird and will take some adjusting. I assume you saw it coming though, and they didn't hide it from you until the last minute, because that would be really stuff.

Are they fighting for custody or anything or taking eachother to court or are they being cool about it? Because divorces can get really loving ugly so you should be glad that they're not trying to sue the other into poverty (i assume they're not anyway)

I think my parents have been married for about 22 years now.

And yes, even if they are fighting over custody, express your opinion because either you are your mother are going to win.

Protip: marriage is pointless.

My parents aren't married but they have been together for 30 years now.

Marriage is basically saying that "if I die, you get my stuff" in a legal way.

No, it really isn't. I don't see how you can go around these forums saying handicapped crap like this without expecting to be called on your bullstuff.

Thanks.
This only just started. As far as I know neither of them even have a lawyer yet.

Well just remember that it is all your fault, they hate you, and you will be a burden to whoever is unfortunate enough to get custody.

That actually cheared me up a bit Otis.

You have legal rights when married. I am not talking socially or spiritually. That, I would know nothing of.
