I played both at my aunts house back when she lived in California. It was a lot of fun trolling the cops and the mayor by giving the Brickster pizza

I did do the same thing as you o:
But I also changed the citizens to pizza delivers :D

Closest I ever came to playing that game again was Lord Tony's LEgo Island server a couple of versions ago.
