There was the adventure sets which were an Indiana Jones parody, after the new Indiana Jones movie came out they killed off adventure sets and made their own Indiana Jones sets along with a game.
Lego is now jumping onboard on any popular franchise now. They are just in it for the money.

Then it is a direct rip off. If you noticed there is no more parodies, there is only rip offs or sets that advertising the movie or show they represent.

Adventure sets was a parody to Indiana Jones.

Time Twisters was a parody of Back to The Future and Bill & Ted's adventure combined.
