It's actually a lego version of my ingame avatar  :cookieMonster:

Hot dang, when I revived this topic, it really shot through the roof. Holy crap.

I CHALLENGE YOUR CREATIONS

I DECLARE LEGO WAR!

We'll make sure your lives ends as quickly as the Clikits series died. Really dead, really fast.

I have a question, so I wanna get into making my own builds but it's hard to know exactly what size pieces I need and what types like wedges, ramps, etc. When you guys create your own custom LEGO build, how do you know what sizes the pieces should be and what exactly you need (ramps, wedges, etc)?

Also should I buy the Grand Emporium? I haven't started LEGO investing yet, but I may just experiment with it once with this one set, and hopefully I'll have some returns from it if it does well.

There are a few options for that.

1. Download LDD and design your build beforehand.
2. Build, tear down a bit, adjust a bit, rebuild, repeat.
3. Simply build a lot of things. Really, this is the best way. With time, you'll just instinctively know what piece you'll need for a given part of the build. You'll not only be able to recall any piece off the top of your head, but it can also help with envisioning the finished product before and during the build process.

;)

I think I've actually come across the problem of having too many legos, or not enough room. I'm in the process of getting rid of this giant table that I have in my room where I would basically put all of my LEGO stuff that didn't have a good place to be, so I have to make the choice with a lot of the stuff on what to keep built and what to deconstruct and sort into their respective bins. Problem #2: I'm starting to run out of space in most of my bins.
I've got 0 room for more minifig torsos and I'm filling up my 2x4 brick drawer at a shockingly fast rate.

ive gotta do some srs thinking on where to put my bricks.
