But which version do I download?
The Latest. ;o

Oh my this is going to take a long time to download.
I'll start it in the morning.
What are some good tutorials for 3DS Max?

Yes, it does. Without proper critique I can't fix many mistakes. If that's what you call criticism then you are doing a terrible job of it.
You see, the way that things work, are like this:

Pi: Side view looks odd.
Tesla inspects the side view for oddities, maybe even compares it to a sketch of a human.
Tesla still sees nothing wrong.
Tesla: Elaborate
Pi elaborates
Tesla looks at the areas that were mentioned. Does Tesla agree with Pi after closer inspection?

If yes, Tesla fixes said areas.

If not, Tesla tells Pi that he prefers the way it looks, and does not want to change it.

And that, is the correct process for C/C. (Unless there is something you wish to add. Then, apply lines 6-11 to this situation.)

What Im not making stuff for killing z-

I mean...

Meh, I'll model some more, but I'll try to cut down on Polys.

Hey there.

Can somebody link me a good Blender tutorial series on youtube?

You know, the ones that have like 30 episodes that are each two hours long.
PUTPUT

I decided to play around with blender's lighting and a couple of spot lights...and this is what I got, currently uploading a youtube video of it

Yeah...uhh...goodnight

You see, the way that things work, are like this:

Pi: Side view looks odd. Which side view?
Tesla inspects the side view for oddities, maybe even compares it to a sketch of a human. That's fine, but I'm not shooting for an ultra realistic humanoid
Tesla still sees nothing wrong. You never specified properly, therefore, I do not see
Tesla: Elaborate
Pi elaborates The first post you made on it was horrifically vague, lets review it shall we?
it sux u so dum Ha ha, yeah, you're not funny

It's not shaped like a person, ai feel. Ok, yeah, this makes sense, I was expecting this.

There is something wrong with the side view Which side view? If not that, what parts of the side view? You are too vague

Tesla looks at the areas that were mentioned. Does Tesla agree with Pi after closer inspection? Did Pi name the sides that had an issue specifically? No he did not.

If yes, Tesla fixes said areas. depending if I knew what side area you were talking about

If not, Tesla tells Pi that he prefers the way it looks, and does not want to change it. I would know whether or not I would want to or not, true

And that, is the correct process for C/C. (Unless there is something you wish to add. Then, apply lines 6-11 to this situation.) This would only be correct if you were specific, which you were not. Long story short, you didn't criticize constructively.
Ha ha, yeah nope.

Ha ha, yeah nope.
Stop taking criticism up the ass and just understand he's pointing out flaws in your model.
No need to argue about his damn pointers.

I take criticism fine. But I want criticism that actually points something out. Like my post said he didn't "SPECIFY" which parts.
Actually READ my post before stepping in like you know what you are doing.

Why were you complaining about "which side view?" when there's only one side view.

Why were you complaining about "which side view?" when there's only one side view.

I doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a model has multiple sides and locations. He could have been talking about any one of these. All I ask is that he name the part instead of saying "sumthing wrung with teh side view"
I would appreciate knowing what spot or part so I can fix it. I'm not taking his supposed criticism "hard" I'm just being left in the dark by such a vague answer.

When people say "Side View" they mean Side view. Not head-on view, not back view, the sides. It's not that hard a concept to grasp.

So ok "Side view"

Which part of the side view? It can be a hard concept to grasp if you are not specific. So if I said "The front view of the face doesn't look right" Would you not want to know what feature that I am not finding intriguing?
If you are not direct, then a modelers ability to see mistakes will be unguided and indirect.
