blender is free

easy modeling is not
A chuckleforget like myself learned how to use it. Plus, most of those scary settings and buttons you see don't need to be used with basic modelling. It probably makes it easier, but I get by.

I don't like blender because it's almost entirely hotkeys that you have to learn. I prefer wings because you can just right click and get a full list of commands.

In blender you can now just press space bar and type in the command you want, it will even have the hotkey next to the command for you to learn if you feel like you want to.

anyone making a gothic arch brick or anything? no? just guns and monsters?

Once we get decent .blb making tools at our disposal, we will.

I wonder how long until that happens?

wut? bricks have been made before, no?
Did the latest Blockland updates change how things work?

BLB's involve a lot of manual fixing. There's is no easy obj to blb converter that would do everything automatically.

That doesn't tell me much. Why not just make some bricks? Do the problems have camouflage?

You need to manually make the UV coordinates (which make no sense by the way), normals might need fixing and manually coloring individual vertices (+ trying to find the correct vertices that form 1 quad). UV coords is the biggest problem really. Especially since nobody knows the exact coords. Oh and you're doing all this in notepad with no 3D visual feedback at all.

oh... notepad :f

Alright wings3d is by far the best free modeling program

Didn't GSF Ghost used a really old version of Blender to get the correct UV Cords for his Terrain Bricks?

so my kusanagi rifle is giving me some lighting issues in-game, the lighting appears to be inverted
i'd post pictures but no computer at the moment
i've checked that all the normals are correct and tried the old fix of joining the mesh with a new cube
any ideas?

if it were that easy, why not do it yourself?
