Gentlemen, I think i may switch over to using Milkshape soon.

But tell me.

Can I do animations in it and import it into blockland easily?

I'm a beginner to modelling so I like experimenting and improvising
This is loosely based off of the Norinco CQ, a clone of the M16A1 from China.
It's not entirely done; the little stuffty "brushed metal" texture is probably gonna get ditched and I'm going to add little subtle buttons and things, like a brass deflector and bolt release.

que piensan

You could work on your smooth shading better.

oh i forgot to mention
the .dts is flatshaded
the program i opened this in (metasequoia) automatically smoothshaded it

I'll give download when I'm done if anybody wants it

Can i have a copy of it?

really cool model btw

I wana use it in some renders for practice.

It's still not done but i'll PM it to you tomorrow.

If you post the renders anywhere please give me credit for the model though.

EDIT: Wait I thought you used milkshape.

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Does anybody think I should make a model dump?

I love how certain parts of it are much higher poly than other parts

I'm not sure if anybody remembers my post about the vehicle I was making, but I mentioned a Sport model and here's the WIP for that:

Based off numerous German/French/Japanese hot hatchbacks.

Won't bother asking why the forget you would choose meta to show it off but you can turn smooth shading off by going [ View --> Smooth shading ]

can somebody explain why my render time takes 16.6 times longer with blender internal than the viewport render (I know it's at a higher resolution but it's only about 1 1/2 times bigger)
Because the viewport render uses OpenGL as the renderer. It doesn't really render the scene, it just uses the current rendered frame of the viewport. It is obviously really fast since the viewport itself needs to be rendered again every time you change anything. The OpenGL render doesn't have any effects either like shadows, reflections, or custom lights. It's just the viewport.

I think that revolver would be perfect for the game Receiver.

that's what you get when you use subdivision modifier for the grip.

also thanks for telling me why viewport is faster demian.

And I'll pm it to you now pandan.
