you can animate meshes without piecing them up into multiple parts. look up vertex group animation/mesh deform animations and weight painting, and armature usage

The only thing i know how to rig is facial movement

From top to bottom, that toggle lock battle rifle which I'm going to redo, the two in the middle are grenade launchers, and the bottom are literal rocket propelled grenades which are also used in the rocket launcher which I'm not done with.
