You know you can flat shade in max, right?

You don't need any other program if you know what you're doing

I export them to milkshape then export them to dts while in milkshape i do the flatshading there but to be honest i never knew how to flatshade in 3DS max

If you use edge-split you need to apply the modifier

SketchUp, bro. Not even in Blender yet.

And I know how to smoothshade -_-

For getting things in-game and for modeling things like animals. All of my weapons are done in SketchUp, then exported to Blender because I can do it faster and better with Sketch.

Holy crap. I didn't know things like that could be done in SketchUp. :O

Sketchup can be exported to .dae, which blender can then import

Using COLLADA is unwise, as the format is garbage and the exporter itself is buggy. Half of the time the model doesnt even export. I use 3DS.

What people dont realize is that SketchUp is actually an extremely powerful and efficient program if you know what you're doing. SketchUp has a lot of specialized functions that would normally be left to manual guesswork in programs like Blender. My stuff would take much longer with blender and probably wouldnt look even half as good.

here we go
It died. The flame of the argument was extinguished. Let it go already.

This is worrying, as COLLADA is becoming a general file to be imported and exported into most 3D modelling programs.

you know there's such a thing called an edit button

Update.
Also, green edge around gun was a small transparency error with paint.net.

Are you saving it as a PNG? Can Flickr handle PNGs? Make sure you're saving it as a PNG and use Imageshack
