Yeah, you can't really criticize people if your models aren't even as close to good as theirs.

Posting a screenshot of one of your models isn't a week-long ordeal. You've never contributed anything to this thread, all you do is criticize. I honestly hope you get permabanned because it's obvious no one wants you here at all.

boltster is right most of the time. the majority of blockland models here do not look good for blockland at all. there are a few modelers who get the style close (thekhoz is good) but majority of people don't.

if everyone keeps getting the baby treatment of "oh it looks decent" or "great for a new model!" when the model sucks, or just bails out "blender is too hard milkshape seems more for me!", they won't get anywhere. when I began modeling i had no idea i was doing it all wrong because it took about a year for someone to actually tell me that my stuff didn't look right in blockland, and even then I still didn't get it all the way, and still don't.

This is exactly right. I'm not sugar coating what I'm saying because that won't help anyone.

If I was constantly saying "that looks amazing" you wouldn't be criticizing me for not being constructive; it's only because I call out the stuff models that you guys are chucking pissfits.

The problem is, that Boltster never gives the baby treatment. and the baby treatment is good to make the person keep modelling.

and i don't hate him for saying stuff suck, i mostly agree with him. (Though, he is too harsh.)

If the person relies on compliments to keep modeling, they won't be modeling for long regardless of my comments. People need to learn to take criticism in their stride.
