I just realized that I can model very well at nighttime but I get very sleepy, it's also the time when I actually want to model aswell.

Anyone here good at making cell shaded characters, weapons, items, and environment objects? My friend and I have a project for our Simulation and Game Development course that we need some models for. Doesn't necessarily have to be spectacular (they could be basic placeholders that aren't yet cell shaded), but if someone wants to volunteer their skills we'd appreciate it.

This could potentially be something we work on after we are finished school (final semester), even if it's just for fun. It could also be an opportunity to add something to your portfolio.
The cell shaded look is done in the rendering process (shader) not the model itself. An example in Blender that I found from the internet:

The anti-aliasing doesn't work for some reason. I think it has something to do with the +100 material and scene nodes.

Woah, the shader makes it look straight out of an animation. The wonders of technology :B

Looks nice?

Plenty of cartoons are done with 3D models nowadays. I'd imagine it's a lot easier and faster to create new episodes with the cost of not looking as cartoony as traditional animation.
