Well phooey this looks like stuff now but:

Working on the things on top.

I'm guessing this was taken from the back perspective of this launcher

if so you should move the foregrip up a bit great model though!

My first phase of my alien playermodel

I always lol at people who use ONLY sculpting for modelling

Poly model your alien, and use sculpting to add the fine details. I've never seen an actual developer use purely sculpting, they all use it at the end of their workflow.

People should sculpt normal maps. If any part of the model, you could sculpt the head and go over it with a bit less polys.

Planning on doing anything with that model, Manty?

yea giving it to me so it can go into prpg where it belongs!

Front.
Nearest grip has a trigger-like nub on it.

you can do it either way. If you sculpt first then you retopologize and create a basic mesh. Or you can make the low poly and sculpt it.
It's really your preference.

Sculpting only is stupid

All that does is create extra work for yourself and waste a stuffload of polys

Do you not know what retopology is? You take the high poly sculpt and from that make a low poly model, which doesn't take long, and is fairly easy to do. Then you bake the highpoly to the low poly model, to create a uv map. Then they look almost exactly the same. It's more accurate, and someones easier then starting with the low poly, then sculpting. It's also easier to add on to it later if you realize you wanted something else added. Don't judge it until you know what your talking out.
