Go for 2.5
if you notice, tier tac pistols aren't filling the hand up completely, and if you want to keep the width, just increase the rest of the gun until it's proportional.

I like your second take on the model.  It's very blocko and actually fits the theme of Blockland.  Your first model is more true to the actual weapon itself, but it doesn't suit blockland very well. 

Also I hope you don't plan on shooting oval-shaped bullets with that thing.
