Might I ask how long you have been modeling?!
I first mentioned having Blender in 2009 on the forums according to the search but I believe I started around 2008. So about 5 years. Mind you that model isn't original design so it's not that impressive:

Modeling a high poly model over a lower poly game model requires little skill.

I was trying to pursue one visual style and then I screwed up something and I got this. Paper cut-out tree thingy.

Maybe if the tops of the layers weren't triangle based in their shading. Sort of the cartoon-y style of TF2.
