If executed well I think this weapon could have a modeled on hand. As much as I hate the previous attempts at modeled on hands, yours is fat and compact and a hand could rest on the back edge of it without looking like he has a broken arm.

the only thing i find objectionable about that underslung laser cannon is the weird thing on top of the grip

it's too triangulated, you really should just put a ramp with a lip like on the default blockland ramp bricks on top. or, alternately, no cp at all, and just bevel the now-exposed part of the grip

I thought you were talking about the piece I circled, and that you thought the black piece under it was the handle (which would make it underslung like you said, except its not underslung because that's not the actual handle)
