It's as simple as manufacturer + model really, nothing illogical. (Ex. Bengs (Mercedes-Benz) + Gunloader (G-Class)) Those people who complain about gun names just have stuff memory, that's all.

If I'm making a v_model for a recent game like Titanfall, what would be a good tri count?

yes i know titanfall has no modding sdk i just want to know what number of tris i should be looking for.

shotgun view model (because it's already open) has 5400 faces
on the other hand the DMR has 12527 faces (with 4.5x scope on it because it is there)
there's really no limit as long as your computer isn't a toaster
