Author Topic: any good FREE UNLIMITED RECORDING game recorders?  (Read 1765 times)

i am planing on making a few videos for youtube with some friends{maybe if i can get them to} and i need a good free video recorder that can let you record for unlimited time so i dont have to get frustrated with the say....30 sec. limits to record.....hard to make it look good when it seems that 1 second a guy is siting in a chair the next he's gone....so any suggestions?remember, good, free, unlimited record time

To make a good video, you use small clips, usually not longer than 30 secs.

i don't want to....I'm impatient i don't like to take my time...

Your video will suck then, and nobody will help you.

Welcome to the real world. There is no such thing as a free recorder that does a good job. You'll just have to ask mommy and daddy for an advance or an allowance or something.

Also, if you're going to crap on any suggestion given, you might as well lock the topic because you'll never get the answer you want anyways.

My friend downloaded a version of fraps that is free and has unlimited time.

Yeah, I almost forgot.

Fraps 1.9D is the last freeware version they had. It isn't that bad, it's major flaw is that it doesn't record sound. You can use Audacity to record sound, it doesn't take up that much more resources than it would without recording sound.

My friend has 2.9 or something.

2 ways:
1. use fraps and just hit the record button alot.
2. hook up your computer to a standard television using an adaptor and wire that through a vcr and hit record.
