I was wondering if anyone could give me the link to a good scripting tutorial or a recomendation of a good book for scripting and general creation with blockland or just TGE in general.

Bump for desperation.
I have been looking for one for a while.

I learned completely off the forum and other scripts.

Yea i learned off looking at other scripts.

I offer to help people learn the basics to Torque script by using a program called Gobby.

I use Gobby 0.4. This allows for me and multiple other people to script at the exact same time. It also includes a chat system as well.

If anyone would like to me to show you some need-to-know things in order to start understanding Torque script just reply here and I'll set up a time where everyone can join at once.

That's an awesome idea, and I would totally want to get in on that. The tutorials haven't helped me much so far and I think I just need some more direct guidance from actual people instead of a giant tutorial covering programming in general which I can't exactly apply very easily in blockland.

I know a good book that covers all of torque, making stuff, scripting. I have read the preview, like half the book is included. Downside is is that it is $60. But the book is not all that you get. You also get more computer appendices and references plus more info that wasn't in the book. Ill post the link.

then there is another appendix that is on this board, I'll post it here too.

(warning, it's pretty long)

Other than that, you can look at other scripts and post problems here on the boards, I'm still learning, started not to long ago. I wouldn't recommend buying the book unless you are SURE that you want to learn how script. By the way, If you know how to make preferences for RTB and stuff like that, I could use your help.
