Author Topic: Help with sending models into blockland  (Read 1484 times)

Ok, I am making a second topic because my other one never got anybody's attention, and I really need help D: you can go look at my topic called "Need scripters and a couple tips (first add-on)" to see that I have made two models, and that I want to script at least one of them. When I load up blockland after putting in all the stuff to replace the script I "stole" from another add-on, the weapon has no color and it cannot be seen in third person view. =/ Please help!!!

to give it color, you need to give each part the right "texture". Here is an example:

The model has the "black50" texture assigned to the black parts. So if you made there be black parts in your model, it won't look black in-game unless you have the black50 texture assigned to the right parts.

Note: I use Milkshape, just so you know.

I hope I helped.

edit: I can't help with the 3rd person view thing. All I can say is make sure that you export it right.

Well, thats the thing, I put in the textures, and there still isn't a color...

Do the textures require special names?

no, I don't think so. What modeling program are you using?

Sketchup, but I make the textures .PNG's before I put them in.

It should work, maybe you should try Milkshape. (only you need to buy it, so, maybe not)

Well if you want I could try to fix it. Just PM me the download link to the zip with all the files. just make sure you include the sketchup file, because milkshape can't import DTS files.

I said PM me... but it doesn't really matter. :) I'll see what I can do.

oops sorry :3 (Family Guy is distracting)

Um, are you sure that's the right link? Because the Add-on is the HE-grenade, or is it an edit of the grenade?

Lol... D: I seem to fail at telling information.. Yes, I copied the script and hoped to god it would work... and it horribly failed.
