I am practicing with negative and positive spaces, and also would like to try to take a departure from some of my other visual styles. Naturally, this is going to require a lot of community input on what works and what doesn't. Call this a WIP thread if you want, but it's helped me mounds in the past.

No symmetry looks terrible.

I always have problems with the colors of your builds, I personally just don't like the subtle differences in colors. I prefer more variety. Anyways, the whole shape is pretty nice but those windows don't really fit it.

I've tried to move away from grayscale builds, and the next thing I know how to do is wooden =\

Re-did the windows, deleted the door part, but haven't decided what to do with it yet.

That design is really too weird for a Manor. Really if you painted it all gray and black it would work as a space fort or something.

he's right, you'll have to rebuild it to make it a manor. It looks kinda like a space station? maybe an entrance to a space station ?

I have to Disagree. For people who enjoy art and use there artistc (right side) of the brain the like odd or diffrent sides. For people who use the mathmatic and logical (left side) of the brain they like even and equal sides. For people who like both ... I HAVE NO CLUE! Well I personnaly like using the left side so I think Duping is nice form mosts builds. Makes it look Nice and neat. Its faster and cleaner so theres no mistakes. But its just a opinion

That's the plan. I'm going to do it all in color, so I don't mess up when I'm building with my grayscale colorset.

Use less contrasting colors on the greyscale, just slightly different shades. Also pick a good 2 or 3 other colors to complement everything otherwise you'll get a very boring build.

But yeah first thing I thought when I saw that was "Oh, a space base thing", not really a house or manor.
