Author Topic: Womprat(Need scripter)  (Read 1062 times)

I figured out how to make player types and have them walk and jump and everything not a long time ago(thank you racer) and i was wondering,

if i made a new player type and had all the animations that the bl player type has but also some backflips, frontflips, vaults, and lots of other stuff.
Would it be possible(or hard) to keybind other buttons for the animations.
Like for instance your running off a building and you press r or something and you backflip. It might interfere with some of the peoples keybinds though which is what im afraid of.

Maybe not the letters but the numbers, it'll have to be a non building player type though.

EDIT:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok i'm not going to bother to make a new topic since this is on thesame thing.

I have made a Womprat from star wars and it has a walking animation, head turn and jump.
But it also has a backflip animation, frontflip, breakdance sort of thing or some crazy spin in the air and one that has him just scratching his ear.(that was mostly for the block wars movie)

But i need a good scripter to do what i asked about above, make keybinds for the animation but also so that he can't take out any weapons.
PM me if you're interested, and ill send you all the files. DSQs and if you need any sequences in the model named like "backflip" so that you can do playThreads in the script.

EDIT AGAIN:
ok i released it http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=62399.0

 :cookieMonster: uses numpad for tricks.

It won't interfere with the key bindings to much, you have alot of empty keys.

but you don't know for sure which ones are open, everybody has atleast something different.

It would require a client-sided add-on for the keybinds.

Or you could just use light or sit.

you could use Ctrl+[key] method. That, or bind them to the F# keys that don't have anything on them.

I say something client side, because otherwise it would conflict...
Or you could simply just put your own key bindings on, there is a lot of stuff that does that. Like the MP7 which uses right-click which really isnt a problem. Maybe the playertype would use the right click :P

Anywho, awesome idea :D  :cookie:  :cookie:  :cookie:

Lol, "cute". I want to learn how to make my own player type models :/

I lol'd when the thread changed.

Tom

For server-side:
Or you could just use light or sit.

But if you want to make it client-side only, use settable keybinds.
