So basically it was a giant, touch-sensitive monitor?
Aye. Came with it's own set of tools to use with it. Different color markers, erasing tools and more. I believe it had it's own comprehensive software suite as well.

Ive played Line Rider on a smartboard in my dad's office building :DIts really tough :(
My old school used to use "smartboards" which were touch-sensitive screens that were projected onto, so you could basically interact with the computer on the board, and even draw on top of it using special pens and stuff.(That is not my old school)
