why do threads like these always get like 10 pages in a day?
God, its like Enholli all over again.

Ah, you have found the bases of the theory of the big bounce! Linkzors!

The big bang was the result of the previous universe compacting to something infinitely small with infinite mass. Eventually a breaking point was hit and the universe exploded, giving us what we see today. Eventually the universe will start to compact, and the cycle will continue. thus its like a bouncing universe :D

Suck on that.
But cant we just ask what makes it "bounce", or what is this breaking point, or what makes it compact.

There's just too much :(

We'll figure it out. I believe compacting is due to either dark matter or dark energy, which I believe also causes the breaking point in which the dark mater/energy quickly changes to dark energy/matter. we expand until enough dark energy/matter changes to dark matter/energy.

Explain to me wtf dark matter is.We dont even know :(Got any links?

EDIT:Actually I read a little a bit about it in some of the "His Dark Materials" books. But I still would like a general definition or w.e.
Link it up

Wikipedia explains it better then I ever could.

Sorry to give you such a block of text, be we really don't know much about it.

This one about Dark Energy seems to be easier to understand.

Also, scientists think that just by pbserving it you can make it rapidly degrade into nothing :D Gotta love quantum mechanics.

Itellectual boards are boring ......: )

I achally love them :D

just because my spelling is below average doesn't mean I dislike a good conversation.

stuff so what is it?
An invisible "missing" mass?
FUUUUUUUCK :(

By the way did you ever read that book "Tunnels" I suggested to you Dig?

And "intellectual boards" are fine

Nope, sorry. It was checked out of the library last time I went :/

I'll hunt it down and read it, thanks :D

I don't like intellectual topics because I'm a dumbass.:)

Suck on that.
Evidence/more hard math please.

Soon I expect them to disprove relativity.
Already done. Aren't you just on the ball?

I believe in God. And evolution.
I think that God didn't make the universe in seven days, but in millions of years. I think that people back in the Bible times were too dumb to understand the process of evolution, so he wrote the Bible in ways they could understand. Like saying he made the universe in seven days, and representing Adam and Eve as the human race.
And yes, I'm a Protestant Christian.
