I don't think people actually of a large man in a white robe, more of that they believe that something greater created us.

Although, I am agnostic, I did go to church once. :D

You should also include the fact that there are about 600 unknown, but most likely existant, gigantic meteors heading straight towards Earth. They could wipe out a large amount of the population. HOWEVER, there is one that is definately real. It has been sighted towards the end of the solar system. I forget how long it will take to get here, but our lives will be said and done.
