Usernames in Blockland

This is confusing.. Back in the days a role model could be a President, an artist, a football player, ANYONE- But todays kids only seems to have 2 rolemodels... SONIC THE HEDGEHOG AND MASTER CHIEF !! o.0 REALLY What's up with those 2 ?!?! I've probably seen 10 dirrefent Master Chiefs and 10 different Hedgehogs o.O Is this normal !?!? I mean - how cool CAN Master Chief be? Would he still be cool if I told the kids that he was black (wich he is)? And would Sonic be as cool if I told the kids that he's old as forget, and a dying character once made by SEGA?

When I was a kid in the 80's and early 90's , Transformers, Bowser, and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the stuff - were are those characters now ?...

Although it belongs in Off-topic, but I don't think the kids actually want to be Master Cheif.
Besides, when they get older, I'm sure they'll become something.

Well, it can be in off topic where I believe it would fit as a more generalized topic, it does pertain to Blockland in the selection of user names in this game. Again, could fit better if it were told as a topic with role models instead of user names only.

When I was a kid in the 80's and early 90's , Transformers, Bowser, and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were the stuff - were are those characters now ?...

Those were good times, I still have an old LEGO "M-Tron" sweater with the little clip on for the Legominifig. That thing was so cool back in the day.

However, you have to look at the bigger picture. I see Master Cheifs all over.

Kids aren't super into Sonic and Master Chief all that much.

Those two characters are the only easily Blockland Avatar Capable.

It's hard to make a unique avatar. Also users will tend shy away from it since they might be ridiculed if it's a bad name.

Well really theres not much you can do about it. unfortuantely its just the more popular interests of this generation. Theres allways going to be something that almost everyone seems to use, whether it's  Master Chief or Sonic the Hedgehog. Eventually it will change and then other games like Blockland get fulled up with people naming themselves with stupid names. Saddly you cant change whats inevitable .

Master Chief I understand, but the kids calling themselves Xxsonic123xX these days weren't even alive for sonic's "good" games on the genesis.  The only place they would know him from is terrible erotic fiction and some straight-to-bargain-bin 3D games.

Lol no way, Sonic and the black knight(sp?) is obviously the best Sonic game ever!11!11!!

On topic: The worst thing to happen is being in a server with 3 MC's, 3 sonics and some marios.
