They can not tell that they are so drunk they can not walk but they are aware to them being drunk overall. With the times I saw my dad drunk I saw he would think he is fine to drive and other things but he would not even be able to find his keys. What I am saying is that he is overly aware of the matter.

me and the guys would go out drinking, and 2 of us down like 12-14 shots of jag each by end of the hop. and just feeling stuff.
and our buddy mike barely chokes down a second bottle of beer and hes obnoxious and slur-talking, and stumbling around.
