Author Topic: My stats thermo assignment, the bane of sanity  (Read 2837 times)

This class' assignments were all beyond unfair so far, but this one in particular is just, holy stuff.

Keep in mind I have 100+ pages worth of notes from the prof himself and they do not elaborate on the meaning of any of these loving letters in any way. I'm not even sure what it's all about, looks a bit like quantum mechanical stuff but who the forget knows.

The other questions appear tame, which is great because I'm all out skipping this one. I'll check with my well connected colleagues tomorrow and see if I can get an answer from them.

Google the letters up then. Quit being lazy expecting everything to be handed to you. That's what school is for, to LEARN what they mean and how they apply to your life.

looks like the probability density function for some wonky distribution

but in all honesty i have no idea what i'm talking about

also rughugger shut up lol

This applies to more then just quantum mechanics. Ok, I decided to read the text this time. It looks to be some sort of measurement of energy.

Also, the answer is 1. It says so on the damn picture. You have to prove it though.

This applies to more then just quantum mechanics. Even though I am wrong I do think it has to do with 1/0

no i don't think so

You'd love for me to, wouldn't ya? Kid has to learn sometime that he won't always have us to help him with his homework. ;)

He wasn't really asking for an answer, just showing how ridiculous it is.

And such is life in the grown up's world. Enjoy your youth kiddos, as soon as you graduate, it's one fun ride down the first hill of the rollercoaster.  :cookieMonster:

You silly, you can't solve math with letters!

It looks like it has to do with the rate of diffusion of a random molecule in a gas. Apparently there's some constant that takes into account that said molecule will collide with other said molecules as well as gas molecules. I don't really know any of this at all, and therefore I probably am wrong.
