I use the GTA games as anger management. ^^

Being exposed to violence at a young age could be a good thing, then you will not underestimate the evil that exists in the world, and how bad people would treat you. My parents wont buy me M games until I am actually considered old enough to play them, by then I will buy them on my own probably, but I got them to buy me Half-Life, Counter-Strike:Source, and Garrysmod because those games are not that bad for me to play.Like Half-Life is just Gordon Freeman shooting some aliens and soldiers, and Counter-Strike:Source is like norse heaven where you fight forever. And Garrysmod is a sandbox game, enough said for that.

I use Gmod for anger management. Spawn Mossman npc (because she seems to have the most health) and beat the stuff out of her with a crowbar.

lol, but not lol for it being a girl.......you're gonna hit your wife =.=

I hate when people refer to school shootings and things where the kids played video games as a reason why violent games should be banned. I think that people that are already violent often buy violent video games because they need some way to express their rage. As soon as this is not enough they start shooting people in real life. If like GTA are supposed to make you violent why doesn't every one that plays them become murderous? About 1% or 2% of people that has played a violent video game actually kills someone.

Not even that. A more accurate figure might be somewhere around .0002%

Yar but it's a sandbox game full of violence and naked alyx player models! :O

I played GTA San Andreas (sp?) when I was 6.

M games do not have a effect on a majority of gamers.

After playing GTA4, am I going to literally hijack my mothers car, shoot people at school, and kidnap females? I've asked my own parents and friends if I were aggressive, and they said that I wasn't.

Just because they have effects on some gamers, doesn't necessarily mean all of them.
Bullstuff. It affects most gamers actually, but not necessarilly to the extent that they'd kill someone.

Why has teen violence gone down as the popularity of video games increased?

Alright, lets not start throwing around questionable statistics. I'm sure there are plenty of figures to spout in support of either side.

Statistics as a whole are full of stuff. Most are done by asking 10 people this and that then blowing the results out of proportion based off of those 10 people whom they never really release the names of so people can actually see if they exist or really answered that way.

I found this chart one teen violence :D
