Author Topic: That tiny little red dotted line.  (Read 3926 times)

Unless you don't use Firefox, type without ever making typos, don't look at your screen until you finish posting, or even if you have meatballs for eyes, you've seen that little red dotted line underneath some of your mangled words.

Now, I'd like to tell you about it.

Unless you're writing a non-word, hover your mouse over it -- It's easy to find, it looks like this:  ............ -- and right-click. Oh my gosh! A menu! What's this? WORD SUGGESTIONS? NO. WAY. Click the one you meant to say.

tl;dr: If you don't know how to spell it, right-click and fix it.

I don't get that feature when I am posting.

I never saw the spell check thing til I got firefox.  IE doesn't seem to have it, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hm, I assumed it was built into the forum.

What :o No it's a Firefox feature

Ahaha fail. The red line works anywhere and everywhere but only on certain web browsers while your typing.

Alright, then only use it if you have Firefox. Edited the first post.

Spellchecker sometimes doesn't have the word I'm looking for, and sometimes I'm too lazy to spellcheck it.

I remember you making a thread about that "coems = cums" incident.  Lol.

i love how when i use some word i almost never have before. and i just have this feeling i WILL spell it wrong.
but no matter, i know i can right click it afterward.

then i find i spelled it right, and go woo hoo!

I always use the spell checker, i don't make many typos, but there are times when i'm spelling a word by how i think it sounds or my hands are just plain dumb and don't spell right, like i'd spell 'misspell' as 'mispell', but i don't use the spell checker, i find it easier to hit backspace then respell the word, if it's one of those longer or oddly spelled words or something, then i'd need to use the spell checker

Also, when ever i say "i'm", "i'd", or "i'll", Firefox underlines those, cause i'm suppose to capitalize the I's when i refer to myself, but i don't, cause i'm lazy :D

above two posts hurt my eyes.

but the red lien somtimesa dont 'sghow,

sometimes i like to forget with people, and purposefully spell things wrong and select a random word with the spell check
