Author Topic: ► V11 Bugs  (Read 21058 times)

This bug(?) has been in Blockland for a while now

It doesn't happen with the faces, but if you use up all the room on the Torso decal, it covers the sides and/or the back of the torso instead

Points: Planting a Brick doesn't work for me in a minigame, but Breaking a Brick does.

Some times when fake killing a massive amount of bricks the physics bricks are miscolored.

Its always done that. Unless its your own server that is.
No, even when your host it does it, and that has been true since at least v9.

Is it possible to fix the lighting bug where if you record a demo, the lighting becomes darker and the sun light changes direction

Nested Add-Ons still appear in the menu. I noticed this after I packaged one of my own Add-Ons for release and left the zip folder inside the main one - it won't execute, but two appear in the menu.

I'm always hosting and saving my own games. Since version 11 I've been occasionally getting pretty severe  bricks loading issues (like only 600 of a few thousand will even attempt to load), and would have to load up older saves to get close to completing maps. This is on the bedroom map.

There are some serious friggin bugs

I have this common issue when building dominoes. Every once in a while, when i activate a brick after naming the bricks i want to fake kill, they just fall through the ground. Only a few do this, so it's kind of annoying. They respawn like normal and everything but...yeah. If anyone doesn't know what i'm talking about PM me and i'll host a server real quick to explain it or show you.

and physics are client side so they wouldn't see the same thing as you do anyway

- Animated particles now spam console with
Code: [Select]
particleEmitter::renderObject - Rendering Animated Particles. As a bonus, they're now incredibly glitchy and pretty much unusable. Oh well.

- orientParticles is completely broken, and any emitter with orientParticle set to true will not emit any particles. This takes away directed particle using emitters like light ray emitters and such.

Light rays :'(

Also, the console doesn't report anything at all other then the animated particle thing.

crouch on a ramp, then jump, if there are bricks close enough above you, you will go through them.

you can go through things if you hit them a the right angle in a vehicle

water emitter problem, (pic and log coming soon) EDIT: Pic is here, log doesn't matter because I can reproduce the bug on any computer by jumping off of a vehicle while underwater, and if it goes up to the top like the magic carpet does, if you jump on the vehicle just when you see the splash when it hits the surface of the water, you are able to drive the vehicle out of the water and still have the water emitter. YOU NEED TO CATCH THE VEHICLE AT THE EXACT TIME AS SOON AS IT EXITS THE WATER!

It was tested, hence the physics previews on you tube a while before v11 was released. There was also a private server called "Badspot's Beta" a few days before the release.

That server was passworded and always appeared empty when I saw it, I'm sure the beta testers got a copy for themselves before that though.

It also appears to me (based on rumors) that kompressor made the physics, not badspot. (ALTHOUGH I DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE)

Saving only works on bricks you rendered, the limit imposed by saving as a client on a server, in hosted servers.
