Author Topic: H&K PSG-1 pixel art WIP  (Read 2397 times)

Working on some pixel art of guns, just because they're relatively easy and usually turn out good. I started an M4 carbine a while ago, but that got muddled by poor scaling. So I've decided to work on a Heckler and Koch PSG-1. This is a WIP, I'll update whenever I make good progress.

Edit: Found the M4 beginning.

Awesome. Hope it turns out good.

It's not completely useless, I mean you can still use the handle to beat people over the head with.

I remember the second one from quite a bit ago. :o

People, quit posting your stuff guns that you make using Paint.  They're pointless, it can be done with math alone.  Aside from that, connecting the dots doesn't make you very talented.

Draw someone using one of these guns.  And if has perspective, value, and anything that can show that you're actually a good artist, then I will give a stuff.

Have you ever complimented anyone in a situation that you didn't have something to gain from it? It seems like all you do is stuff on people.

I compliment art that's good.  Poor Atticus, he was so loving stupid, but hell, he was amazing at art.

If you make the pixel art without a pixel reference, I say it's good. Just because you're a good artist doesn't mean everyone else is.

If you don't use a referrance that is pixelated, then you have a good idea of basic proportion.  It does not mean that you are a good artist.

Use PNG.

JPEG's compress it and make it look hazy, blurry, and down right gloopy.

Either way, I like the bottom gun.

Sirrus, I'm not trying to be a richard, but you've done the same kind of thing before.  And sure, the first time it's a neat idea, regardless of how little skill is required.  But when you do it a second time, even after stating that you know it's easy, then someone's bound to get pissed.

Looks good, how 'bout mine?

Edit: Found Origional

I'm going to color it after I've finished the outline.

I didn't finish the other one, though. That bottom picture is as far as I got on the carbine, mostly because it was horridly out of proportion because I wasn't using a reference for scale, only for appearance.
