I would also like to get a better video card but I'm not sure what would fit in my Acer Aspire 4315-2490 laptop. Help?

Get a desktop

Can't really upgrade video cards in laptops.

I don't have alot of money.

is that an integrated video? :(

I have never seen a laptop without integrated video.

The only thing i was able to upgrade on my laptop was my memory. I would like a faster processor but i can't find a solid yes or no answer as to weather I can, signs point to yes but I can't find much more than that.

one gig stick of laptop memory? $30-$40.

vista is cigarettegy any ways i hate laptops so  :cookieMonster: :cookie:

You got a laptop with Intel card?
Next time you get a laptop, get one with ATI/Nvidia card. Don't know about Nvidia cards, never had one.

I keep having problems with ATI cards. If your going to get a laptop, Get a Macbook. Laptops aren't really constructed for gaming or barely considered to be used for gaming. If your going to use it to play games; Don't be running high-tech bullcrap like Crysis. Just run something simple like... Like... DOOM!!

Get a Macbook
Don't.
Unless you want to pay to have a laptop that you can't see the screen of outside just because you paid thousands of dollars for a laptop just so it can be "sleek & lovey", don't get a Macbook.

I guess it depends on composer of card. ATI just makes chipsets. Amirite?

Ah, fanboy rage supported by anecdotal evidence and topped off with a side of nostalgia. Goes well with red wine.

Intel's integrated GPU's are notoriously weak when it comes to gaming of any but the oldest kind. ATI and Nvidia both make mobile versions of their GPU's but they are significantly downclocked to reduce the power  and cooling requirements. So, a 9800mGTX is equivalent to a 9400GT.

Many use laptops for gaming without complaint, but I'd advise against spending the extra money on a "Gaming Laptop" as they are equally overpriced as Macbooks are. The fact that while gaming the batteries only last about 30 mins to an hour aside, the ergonomics of using a laptop for anything but web browsing or other basic tasks is cruel at best. Smaller keyboards and screens do not suit most of the adult population and even the larger laptops feature pretty poor keyboards. Also, the portability of a laptop quickly becomes undermined when you end up having to supplement it with a mouse, power-adapter, external HDDs, etc.

Yes, your computer is highly outdated. No, you can't upgrade the GPU in that laptop. My advice: build a decent desktop computer.

i'm going to make it shot and to the point YES IT SUCKS
