Xbox live being handicapped

So eh, Xbox live canceled my gold subscription.
The thing is, I have a 1 month of Gold card I got when my xbox got the RRoD.
But, When I enter it on the xbox website, or on the xbox, I get an error saying to try again later.
EVERY time I do that, It gives me the same error.
What do I do? :(

K so i called them had some guy answer and call me "m'am"
gave them mah gamertag then sat on hold for about half and hour
finally had someone answer me then saying i have to pay $79 then me figuring out that i only have to pay 7.99 not $79
so he un- suspended my account and i get to play xbox live now :D
But now my xbox is freezing all of the time :(
