It is earth hour everyone
                                               /turns on all lights
Anyway, on Saturday March 28, 2009, turn of your lights from 8:30-9:30, wherever you live. So it's 8:30 EST, GMT, PST, etc.
It is not that date and time anywhere on the planet right now.

By turning on everything, you don't let the energy go to waste.
So it is good idea. :D

Idea: On March 28th, from 8:30 to 9:30 PM, turn on everything. Find every appliance in your house that needs to be plugged into an out let, plug it in, and turn it on. Make sure that those appliances are using as much energy as possible (Example: If it's a fan, turn it up to high).
Burn out the electricity supply to your house and then you'll be saving energy for weeks :cookieMonster:

You still have to pay for it.

You guys fail to realise that Earth Hour is less about actually saving electricity and more about showing the people that run our countries how many people there are who want them to do something about the amount of energy we consume and the methods we use to produce it.

By turning everything on, You use more energy, And use more money
:(

I'm gonna use as much electricity as i can

Holy forget. So in a desperate act of immaturity and defiance you'll do the exact opposite? I'd like to say that you lot are pathetic.

Before you turn on everything like a douchebag, read these.

Anyone who's going "omg i'm gonna be cool by turning on everything" is really not clever or cool at all

As said by Ephi, Earth Hour isn't about saving electricity. It's to show that humanity is actually capable of doing a common act as one. Unfortunately, this isn't going to happen because you lot have underdeveloped brains.

EDIT: Anyways on a lighter note, Earth Hour just passed for me. Nothing much, just watched Nat Geo for a bit, bathed in the dark, tried to read while having a shat. I needed light in the toilet, and accidentally burned a hole in a plastic container while using candles.

Didn't do it.
Mostly because I forgot/didn't really care from the start.

On Energy:
Build some Nuclear power plants. Or you can take the eco-friendly way and build a billion windmills/watermills/solar panels. Either way it's expensive. Difference is that Nuclear would produce a stuff ton more power.

I never said I will turn on everything.

I'm against nuclear plants. :o
First, they are ugly and second if accident should happen...

First, they are ugly and second if accident should happen...
1. That's a really stupid reason.
2. Accidents happen with cars. Nuclear Power Plants are safer than cars. Chernobyl and that Rhode Island plant were both really loving old and really loving inefficient.

lol nuclear detractors. KABOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Windmills and solar panels are more environmentally damaging them a nuclear plant, just from the amount of realty they require.

Well maybe if we actually used significantly less energy instead of complaining about it...
