Author Topic: Lock-down at school today.  (Read 8202 times)

I have only had one lockdown.

I was being transported to an other school for a program (gifted program). When we got there the teacher ran out and told us we were in lockdown. So we ran to the classroom and locked the door. we didnt turn off the lights or hide or anything cause the classes acroos the hall werent doing that.

It was never in the town paper so it might have been a drill ( lost a bet since it didn't).

The lockdowns in my school are diffrent, they say it IS a drill when its really not. They do that so students dont get worried.

It was pretty interesting though when my school had a fire and we all had to evacuate, now that was cool.

Whom, might I ask?

My friend said there was a lockdown at his school once

The teachers just casually walked up to the doors and locked it with a key.
Then told everyone to get in a corner and be quiet.

Then he said he heard a door get kicked open down the hall and someone yell "HE'S OUT OF AMMO!".

I see two things wrong with that drill:
1: It's a stuffty lock.
2: Go huddle in a corner so the insane guy can kill all of you easilly.

One time, they had a drill during passing period, well they did two times. First time, I ran into some random sixth grade classroom before the teachers locked the doors. Other time, I was walking with a few people and we couldn't get anywhere on time. We had to hide in the bathroom stalls. Oh, and another time, our teacher got an email and began reading it outloud "There will be a lockdown drill at 1:30 today, teachers, please do not tell studen-"

Yah but then kids don't take it seriously and start making noise and tell the guy who's in there.   DEATH.

lol schools have lockdowns? thats pretty funny, I go to school on brooklyn and I don't think we have lockdown drills, what are they for anyways? Axe-men defense?

If there was a lock-down and I was stuck in the gym, I'd probably flip out and accidentally blow up the school somehow! Wait a minute.... There's a pretty big gas line in there actually... Hmm... That combined with a soccer ball and the lights... That might actually be possible! O_O

My schools lock-downs are stupid though, once we go into lock-down mode, teachers have to put either a red card or a green card at the door. Green means people inside are ok, red means we are in trouble. I honestly dont think if a gunman broke in the classroom, I would be worried about putting some stupid card in the door.

This is why my school doesn't have doors, we crawl in through the windows.
